This decoration shows the most commonly known type of painter's palette is made of a thin wood board designed to be held in the artist's hand and rest on the artist's arm.

This fair trade decoration is produced by Saint Nicolas. For over 25 years Saint Nicolas have worked with a Christian charity in Thailand to help disadvantaged women find work in their community, today some 200 skilled women work at home sewing St Nicolas decorations, and many of them have been doing so for more than 10 years.
